Happy Halloween!

Well, "Trick or Treat Day" finaly came! We headed out the door at 6 pm ready to grab some hot dogs at the neighborhood party and fill our bag with some goodies. Halloween is not the same as I rembered it. Granted it has been over 20 years since I've trick or treated but one sure thing is it's COLD! Makenzie had a blast visiting all the neighbors filling her little bag and saying,"HI". I believe the most fun for her was meeting all the doggies around the 'hood'. Can't wait till next year....

Pumpkin Patch!

After a long week of sicky sickness we decided to take a family trip to the local pumpkin patch. What a great day for a hayride with our BFF's. Omie and Poppie even joined us! Just can't beat a heart shaped pumpkin "photo opt".

OMG...Day 4

Ok, called the Doc back again today (they are going to hate me) and complained about Makenzie's crankiness and low grade fever. I asked them what is wrong with my child? Well, his response entailed..."Keep doing what you are doing and call us if she gets worse." (going to reiterate, yeah they get the BIG bucks?) No change with Mak throughout the day and she really hasn't eaten since Sunday. Yep, 4 days! While Daddy took a break and went to the gym I gave Makenzie a warm bath and discovered a red "lacy" rash on the trunk of her body. Frantic I called my BFF Erin who informed me that Makenzie might have Roseola. What about that? Why in the H*** do I even take her to the Doc. Just call my "Dula" Windy or Erin. Here's to the Internet and Mommy friends who have...been there done that!

The rash had actually moved up to her cheek by this evening. No fever though and sleeping soundly now!

Sick Day 3.

Took another trip to see the Dr. today b/c we heard from our BFF Liv this morning that she has Strep Throat. Being as they spent Saturday night together we assumed that Makenzie would have it too. (Please check this out...www.erindutchliv.blogspot.com) Well....that is what we get for ass..u..ming. Strep test was a negative. I don't really understand what the heck is going on with the testing in the medical field these days. Here we are with a negative Flu test and a negative Strep test yet my Baby Girl is still sick, sick, sick! And they get paid the big bucks! The Doc sent us home today with a script of Amoxicillin. Guess we will just hope and pray she starts to get better tomorrow. Oh...and a very big, "You rock Daddy!" for staying home with Makenzie for the week since we weren't able to Vaca. with our cousins in Gatlingburge, TN this weekend! You are the best!

Get Outa Here H1N1.

I know there are going to be some hard times going through the trials and tribulations of being a parent. But right now not being able to take away this hurt is awful! I can't stand seeing Makenzie feeling this bad. She woke up Monday morning with a 102.5 temp. so off to the Doc we went. The flu test came back negative but we took the tamaflu meds anyway. Day two with Daddy and she still hasn't eaten and drinks very little. All this baby wants to do is snuggle with her Dad. Hoping tomorrow is better. I love you baby.

Obessed?

Yes!!!!! I have tickets already! Windy, Guy, and the Girls are coming up for Thanksgiving this year and surprise I couldn't wait and take the risk that the tickets would be

gone. Daddy doesn't know it yet but this is a "Girls night out!" WooHOO, Here we come Edward Baby!

I am not sure when it happened but Makenzie has grown up on me. Tonight she grabbed an apple and began chomping down. I really didn't think she would get far but she actually ate almost half of it peeling and all. Oh my she growing up.

Summer's gone....Welcome Fall

Forgive me if I go overboard with the pictures here. The fields around our house are blooming with the wild flowers and the cornstalks are about 12 feet high. I wanted to get a "few" shots of Makenzie with the great scenery. Here she is.....

Ok...so I would never consider myself a "domestic diva" by any means. But I am quite proud of my flower arangement that came straight out of my backyard. Yep, my homegrown flowers! It might not be Windy's flower arangements but it will do for me.
