Back to work! September 14, 2011
As dreaded as it may be yes...hi ho hi ho its back to work I go.
Berkley is now 7 weeks old and still just a little peanut. Her 2 month appointment is next week and we're hoping that she has uped her weight percentage(her doc thinks she is a bit low). We took a quick trip to Alabama over Labor day to visit the fam and I think it took a tole on my milk supply (too many late night "crafting" parties w/ Aunt Winnie) bc Berkley is not gaining like she should. Windy also thinks she might have reflux that might also be effecting her weight gain so we are going to start some meds to see if that helps too. We had a great trip and Makenzie so enjoyed hanging with her cousins and being a big girl. We even got to see all her 2nd cousins at Aunt Belinda and Uncle Roy's.
Aunt Winnie is going to come up and visit this week too so Berkley doesn't have to start school until next week. I am so grateful bc my little peanut is just not ready for school! (really, I'm not ready!)

A Major Milestone, August 11, 2011
A marriage that lasts 10 years is said to be as durable and beautiful as a DIAMOND. I would say I found my diamond in the rough when I met my wonderful husband. Kevin is my everything and the past 10 years have been the best in my life. I am si proud of how we have grown together as a couple and now a family! I look foward to many more "bomb-diggity"(to quote Makenzie) years with you honey!

Well these days we are limited on time, sleep, and outings. Today we "weeded" our pumpkin patch to pass the time. Makenzie and I counted 17 orange flowers on our vines....I think that is 17 pumpkins!!! We are going to be the bomb this Halloween.

Fun in the Sun!
I seriously feel like we are back living in Alabama! Indianapolis has had record temps and NO rainfall! The heat index today was 105!!! REALLY?!?! Well, what else can you do with a 1 week old newborn and a very active 3 year old (oh and an ADHD 35 year old)?

Welcome Berkley Eve Popp
Our sweet bundle of joy Berkley arrived in this world and forever in my heart at 12:38pm on July 21, 2011. (Papa Popp's 70th Birthday, YAY!) Our lives have been blessed once again with a beautiful and healthy baby girl. Makenzie was beside herself with pride for her little sister. I will never forget the look on Makenzie's face as she held her sisters cheeks in her hands. She couldn't stop loving and kissing her. I know these two darlings will be as close and dear to each other as my sister and I are! I can't count how many tears of joy I have shed since Berkley has joined our little family and we are so excited to enter into the next chapter of our lives of THE POPP FAMILY!

Giddy! Giddy! Giddy!
I can't believe it....1. November 2010....FOUND OUT WE WERE EXPECTING BABY #2
2. February 21, 2011....Went into the hospital for cervical shortening and put on bedrest.
3. March 17, 2011...readmitted to hospital and cerclage surgery done.
4. Bedrest for 19 weeks.
5. July 4, 2011....Released off bedrest. It has been 16 days as of today!!!!
6. July 7, 2011....Nana Graves comes to visit and help with EVERYTHING.

7. OK......Now I have been pregnant for 39 weeks and 3 days.
8. July 21, 2011.....INDUCTION SCHEDULED AT 7am tomorrow morning. Seriously stubborn little stinker!
I am so excited, nervous, and anxious to meet my new sweet baby.

Freeeeeeeedom!
In honor of The 4th of July....our nation's 235th Birthday...Independence Day!
And....Ironically we have been released off of BED REST today!!!! I am 37 weeks and officially "full term". The whole fam-damly hit the town hard today. After Claire's, Merle Norman, Babies r us, Carter's, and lunch at Maggiano's.....we are all exhausted. I have officially been on "modified" to "strict" bed rest for 19 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!! All that down time took a toll on my body so today was extremely tough but I made it. I will probably be soar tomorrow....pathetic! Gotta get moving around now though so I can labor this sweet babe! Bought a couple of adorable boy and girl outfits so we are prepared for both. Going to pack for the hospital tonight.....we are ready now! A big Thank You to all of our dearest friends and family for the love, support, and most of all prayers.....Thank you Dear Father in Heaven for your blessings!

Our little Actress
So, I've already commented earlier on how much a "girly, girl" Makenzie is and this video just helps support my statement. She received the Rapunzel dress and hair from Aunt Winnie, Uncle Guy, and the girls for her birthday. This new outfit was the only thing that got her out of the Belle dress and hair that her Nana and Pappa Popp gave her last week. Notice that she imitates everything on the TV!!!

3 year old Check up, June 28,2011
UH OH...Pacey has got to go! One big thing that we have struggled with is the Pacey thing. Formula, bottles, sippy cups, sleeping through the night, potty training....no biggy!
This one we just haven't taken the time to kick and Dr. Rob says no more.
Ugh! I have to admit Makenzie's 3 now and it's time for it to go! Wish us luck....to be continued.

Our Sweet Princess is 3!!!! June 23, 2011
When I say Princess I mean the most "Girly, Girl Princess" ever! Over the past year Makenzie has changed so much. She has really grown into a very wonderful and pleasant little girl. Not that she wasn't before but, the past four months of our pregnancy have been tough and Makenzie has been nothing short of perfect. She has been through a lot of transition and has handled it beautifully. I am so proud of my darling! I pray everyday for nothing but the best for you sweetheart.....I love you and Happy 3rd Birthday!

We were admitted today to Labor and Delivery for a bit to be monitored due to the fact I am back down to a 1.2mm cervical measurement. Luckily my contractions were no more than 3 in an hour so they let us go home.....UGH! 34 weeks....we are getting there!!!!!!

Unfortunately another trip we had to miss this year! Nana and Pappa Popp and Auntie Kim, Uncle Wayne, Brittany, and Brendan took a trip to Walt Disney and Universal in California that we were going to do as well. Makenzie would have had a blast with everyone and we WILL plan that trip as a RE-DO!!!!!!

We are still going for WEEKLY ultra sounds and doing great. Still on the strict bedrest but our excitement is building as we are getting closer! Found out this week that my surgery to remove my cerclage stitch will be June 29th (my Mimi's 89th Bday!) I will be 36 weeks and 3 days at that point so hopefully it won't send me into labor yet. Let's just at least get past Makenzie's birthday!
